When a man reaches his midlife stage, specifically when he reaches age forty, he may suddenly experience episodes of confusion and/or extraordinary stress. As a result his self-esteem may slip a bit. Sudden feelings of inadequacy and an unwillingness to try new things may also arise.

It is commonly suggested that midlife crisis is a psychological condition marked by anxiety occuring during one's middle age period. This actual period varies from one person to another but it is generally accepted to be between thirty-five and fifty.
The anxiety that occurs is based more or less on self-doubt and constant questioning of oneself. Such forms of negative thoughts, especially on a recurring basis, may very well lead to disturbing behavior. To some, it seems like a never-ending cycle that they have resigned themselves to--being in the point of no return.

There is no reason why midlife should be crisis-filled.
There is so much to do in life when one reaches the age of forty. This is the point in life where one has experienced enough yet there is still the need to discover more. With the wrong frame of mind, this yearning can be the trigger to midlife crisis. It doesn't have to be that way.
There is so much to do, so many things yet to discover. Our approach to achieving these things depend on a few other factors--health, wealth, knowledge, level of happiness--it may be a one or the other, or a combination of some or all. It all boils down to your situation and circumstance.
Fortunately these very factors can be controlled by us--with a little bit of work and determination. What we hope to present with this site are the information and guides that can make controlling these factors a bit easier.
