Do you find that you are easily forgetful now that you're in your midlife? As the body begins to wear down, this is not uncommon. Although sometimes being forgetful can be trivial, people in their midlives should be mindful that the condition does not continue to get worse.

Nowadays, professionals are working to determine the benefits of a regular exercise regimen in improving cognition and reducing normal memory loss. This is so that they can better determine what specific exercises can be prescribed to improve memory. In the meantime, we don't have to reminded that physical activity does reduce stress which may be a contributor to cognitive malfunction. And those who are suffering some form of stress that's a result of being in a state of midlife crisis, exercise can certainly help in alleviating the cause of your forgetfulness.
Continue reading "Exercise Helps Boost Memory"

More and more, science is finding connections between behavior and diet. Recent studies have introduced dietary questions as compared to those previously done which focused mostly on emotions. This new technique is beginning to yield important new clues about the immune system.

One of the most significant studies done in recent years suggest that diets supplemented with omega-3 helps to decrease the risk of the onset of depression. Omega-3 are are polyunsaturated fatty acid which can be converted into eicosapentanoic acid (EPA) and docosahexanoic acid (DHA). They are found in plants and abundantly in fish that swim in the deepest and coldest oceans like salmon or trout. One of the most common consequence of being in a state of midlife crisis is depression. Depression can be described as a general feeling of deep sadness. More often than not, it interferes with the daily activities of a person.

Some people become depressed for only a short time. This kind of condition may not even be depression per se but just a state of "feeling low". This may be due to the death of a close friend or a pet.

Others experience depression over an extended period of time. To make matters worse, these people may not even be able to explain exactly why they are feeling this way. Here are some signs that may help you out in case you or someone you know appear to fall into this category.

For some, there comes a point in their married life when they feel that they can't take it anymore? This may be part of the midlife crisis that they are going through. After all, midlife crisis is a form of stress in itself.

So when one begins to entertain the thought of not being able to stand their family anymore, what can be done? Is there just too much fingerpointing that it's already become sickening? Certainly some kind of decisive action needs to be taken and the choice of what to do next can be the difference between adding to the national divorce rate or saving a relationship which you initially agreed to, for better or for worse.
Continue reading "Are Marriage and Family Life The Causes Of Your Stress?"

It is commonly suggested that midlife crisis is a psychological condition marked by anxiety occuring during one's middle age period. This actual period varies from one person to another but it is generally accepted to be between thirty-five and fifty.

The anxiety that occurs is based more or less on self-doubt and constant questioning of oneself. Such forms of negative thoughts, especially on a recurring basis, may very well lead to disturbing behavior. To some, it seems like a never-ending cycle that they have resigned themselves to--being in the point of no return.

It doesn't have to be this way.
Continue reading "Midlife Crisis--The Point Of No Return?"
