Almost everyone's probably heard of diet regimens that were named after their discoverers, for example the <INSERT NAME HERE> Diet Plan. The problem with some of these diets is that there are too many requirements and conditions that the dieter has to fulfill before any significant results can be obtained.
So how about a diet plan that provides consisitent benefits for as long as you take it? It doesn't require that you take a particular type of meal in the morning, another at lunch time and probably nothing in the evening. I call it the Green Tea Diet Plan. It's a humble little plan that doesn't require attaching the name of its discoverer to it. In fact its discoverer probably wouldn't want her name attached at all but her reputation is revered. We know her better as "Mother Nature".
Mother Nature freely provides us with all the tools necessary for survival but few are as potent as green tea. Green tea is extracted from the Camellia sinensis shrub and are rich in catechin polyphenols, particularly Epigallocatechin Gallate (EGCG). Polyphenols are also known as antioxidants which neutralize desctructive molecules inside the body.
A
Swiss study led by Abdul Dulloo was once conducted to investigate other aspects of these polyphenols in green tea and the results yielded some interesting results. This study showed that the presence of polyphenols in green tea significantly increased the energy expenditure and fat oxidation in human bodies within a twenty-four hour period. The study further concluded that these polyphenols activated the process of thermogenesis, known in layman's term as fat metabolism. Without a doubt, these results mean that green tea significantly contributes to weight control.
Another
study conducted in Spain underscores the potency of green tea. They state that green tea may contribute to a reduction in the risk of cardiovascular disease and cancer, as well as to the promotion of oral health and other physiological functions such as anti-hypertensive effect, body weight control, and antibacterial and antivirasic activity, among others.
In short, the Green Tea Diet Plan doesn't only cover weight loss but also helps to prevent many other deadly diseases through its antioxidant properties. You can easily find many green tea vendors online by such simply using your favorite search engine.
Keep in mind though that green tea is not a magic formula that will melt all the fat away and keep you fit. If that's what you're after, consult a snake oil salesman. There's a little bit of work involved. But by far, it's not as tedious and confusing as the other trendy diet regimens.
So here's the plan--in addition to your daily exercises and a sensible diet low on fat, don't forget to take a cup of green tea after meals or if you prefer, you can also take green tea supplements. It's that simple.
